International English Language Testing System:
Designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is the language of communication. It is the preferred test of English for students intending to study in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom and covers the four language skills - listening,reading, writing and speaking.
IELTS Academic Module is recognised widely as a language requirement for entry to all courses in further and higher education and assesses whether a candidate is ready to study or train in the medium of English at an undergraduate or postgraduate level.
IELTS General Training Module is suitable for candidates who are going to English-speaking countries to complete their secondary education, undertake training programs or for immigration purposes.
Administered by: IELTS is adminstered by University of Cambridge Local Examination Syndicate (UCLES), British Council and IDP Education Australia.
Valadity:The score is valid for 2 years.
Reporting:The score is sent to 2 universities.
Registration:The registration is either done in person or by mail.
Requirement for Registration : Name as in the Passport, Passport, 4 Photographs.
Test Report: Normal service takes 2 weeks to get the best report. Express service(results after working days of test date) collected personally.
Duration: The test is for 2 hours & 45 minutes.
Mode:The IELTS test is a paper-based test.
Scores:Total score is out of 9 Bands.Scoring is between 0-9.
